Tips for Better Worksheets
- Upload one chapter or topic at a time — narrow sources make sharper questions
- Text-based PDFs give cleaner extraction than scans; aim for 300 DPI if scanning
- Ask for more questions than you need, then delete the ones that miss
- Export with 'Questions First, Answers Last' so the answer key prints separately
AI Worksheet Generator FAQ
Yes. When you export to PDF, choose 'Questions First, Answers Last' and the answer key prints after the questions, so you can hand out the first pages and keep the rest. Every answer carries the AI's explanation, which is useful for marking and for going over the paper afterwards.
You can export to PDF and to DOCX. PDF is the one to print — the layout is fixed, so what you see is what comes out of the printer. Use DOCX when you want to edit the wording, add your school's header, or change the spacing before printing.
Multiple choice, true/false and short answer. You pick the mix before generating, so a worksheet can be all multiple choice for a quick check or mostly short answer for a written task. It does not currently produce matching, cloze or drag-and-drop exercises.
Not directly — there is no reading-level slider. What works in practice is to generate a longer worksheet and split it, or to upload a simplified version of the source text for the group that needs it. If differentiation by reading level is central to your workflow, MagicSchool and Diffit are built around it and worth comparing.
Yes, with a daily limit. Without an account you get one worksheet a day; a free account gets you the same daily worksheet plus short-answer questions and editing. Credit packs start at $4.99 for ten if you need to make several in one sitting. Nothing expires and there is no subscription.
Upload the chapter as a PDF — up to 20MB, and up to five files at once if it spans several. The AI reads the text, including multi-column layouts and scanned pages, and writes questions from it. Review what comes back, regenerate anything that misses the point, then export.
